Full Mage Tier 10 Colors Available – Still Ugly!
MMO-Champion posted a full mage and warlock set preview this morning, in a variety of rainbow colors. While warlocks manage to skate by with sets that feature a single tonal palette, we’re stuck with color combinations that strike me as more “acid trip” than “color harmony.” Full video of the mage set is found here.
Mage armor designers need to go back to art school as far as I’m concerned. If our tier set is like the orange-y one I posted up there, I’ll be happy. But if I’m stuck with magenta or green, I might just hide in RP gear out of shame until it is time to raid every week.

The set is really ugly altogether. The first Crimson & Green affair was an eye soar, but the Bronze and Black one is at least a color scheme that works together. Maybe not for mages, but it is at least is less unappealing. It’s still an Ugly Helm and makes us look more like a Warrior/rogue want-a-be without the benefit of being less squishy. Sadly the best looking set in my opinion for this expansion will be Tier 9 with the Netherwind hood. Maybe next expansion the creativity in tier sets will continue and we’ll get a Tier 5 remake that has a little more detail and cool little touches.
Hey at least it looks like a caster (everything except help maybe) with the proper robe and accoutrements. I’m a little concerned it might be too representative of the fire tree but it still looks pretty badass.
But it’s not even that great looking – the robe looks like vomit.
recolored vomit no less.
Ok, so its not pretty, right. BUT, consider. It seems to be fashioned from the twisted corpses of our annihilated enemies, their ethers sewn into the silk with the souls of the damned…which, well, ok, so I play undead.
Alright the other colors are better then the magenta one you first posted. But still kinda ugly looking. I’m going to look at the other colors of the horrendous warlock set now..
